ZArbitrage.co.za is a public-facing tool built by Teruza to document the rise, peak, and evolution of Crypto arbitrage in South Africa. From 2016 to 2021, arbitrage gaps reached as high as 24%. Today, those gaps are smaller, but they still exist, and they tell a deeper story about market inefficiencies, currency controls, and trading opportunities in Africa.
This project makes those insights public. It combines live and historical data to show the real BTC price differences between South African exchanges (like Luno and VALR) and international platforms (like Binance and Kraken). Clean, simple, and mobile-friendly - this tool is used by traders, journalists, researchers, and curious crypto enthusiasts alike.
"This was never about monetizing a feature — it was about making the invisible visible. For years we tracked this data privately. Now we’ve opened it up to everyone."
