What's included in the Free license?

The Free license gives you access to a limited number of modules, ideal for businesses with simple needs. Despite being limited in features, it’s fully capable of handling high traffic and production use.
Are all modules available on the Free license?

All Teruza modules are included by default, but your license level determines which ones you can actually use. Free users get access to selected core modules; higher tiers unlock more.
Can I upgrade my license later?

Yes. You can upgrade to Basic or Enterprise at any time without losing data or needing to reinstall anything.
Can I self-host Teruza?

Self-hosting is only allowed under the Enterprise license. Free and Basic plans must be hosted on Teruza's infrastructure.
Is hosting included?

Hosting is required for all license tiers. Free and Basic plans run on Teruza Cloud (via Namhost). Enterprise clients can choose between Teruza Cloud or a dedicated private server managed by Teruza.
How does renewal work?

Your license is valid as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel or don’t renew your yearly or monthly plan, you’ll lose access to updates and official support — but your existing system will continue to function.
Are there any once-off module fees?

No. All modules are included in the base platform. Access is controlled by license level — not individual module purchases.
Can we develop on the Teruza codebase?

Only Enterprise license holders may customize or develop on top of the Teruza codebase directly. This ensures system stability and security for Free and Basic users.
Can my developer team take over the system?

Yes, but only if you're on the Enterprise license. You'll be able to work with your own developers or even migrate to a dedicated server — with full flexibility and ownership of your custom code.
Is the codebase based on Laravel?

Yes. Teruza is built on Laravel, one of the most widely-used PHP frameworks. This makes it easy for Enterprise clients to extend or build new functionality.
